4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Bangladesh

Sylhet: An earthquake was felt in Bangladesh’s Sylhet on Thursday at 12:46 pm, causing brief concern among residents.
The tremor measured 4.1 on the Richter scale, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
The epicentre was located 187 kilometres northeast of the Agargaon Earthquake Observation Centre. Officials said the origin of the quake was traced to Chhatak in Sunamganj.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties were received.
