US Drone Footage Shows Hamas Looting Aid Truck in Gaza
The U.S.-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) has accused suspected Hamas operatives of looting a humanitarian aid truck that was part of a relief convoy delivering essential assistance to civilians in northern Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
According to a statement released by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the incident occurred on October 31 and was captured on video by a U.S. MQ-9 aerial drone monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.
The footage reportedly showed armed individuals attacking the truck driver, forcing him onto the road’s median, and stealing both the vehicle and its cargo of aid supplies. The driver’s current condition remains unknown.
CENTCOM noted that the looted truck was part of a multinational humanitarian convoy, delivering much-needed food, medicine, and other essential goods into Gaza. The center stated that such incidents “undermine ongoing international efforts to deliver life-saving assistance” to Gazan civilians.
Over the past week, international partners have facilitated the entry of more than 600 aid and commercial trucks daily into Gaza as part of coordinated efforts led by nearly 40 nations and organizations participating in the CMCC.
CENTCOM reiterated its commitment to supporting safe and transparent aid delivery to civilians, stressing that any interference with humanitarian convoys “jeopardizes the well-being of innocent people and violates international humanitarian principles.”
