George Clooney is relieved that his twins still like him

George Clooney has quipped that his children still like him. The 64-year-old actor has eight-year-old twins Alexander and Ella with his wife Amal Clooney and joked that he still has the love of his family – unlike his titular character in the new movie Jay Kelly.

Asked about the differences between himself and his alter ego, George told People at the flick’s New York Film Festival premiere: “We have the same hair and we’re the same height.

“There (aren’t) that many similarities in a weird way, because he’s a guy who’s just so sad about his career and his life, because he didn’t have friends and family.”

The Ocean’s Eleven star added: “He surrounded himself with people that he paid. And I’ve been very lucky to not have to do that.

“I’ve been very lucky to have great family and great friends, and my kids actually like me still. They’re young.” Meanwhile, George admitted earlier this month that he is extremely worried about his children being exposed to social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram.

In an interview with fellow actor Julia Roberts for 72 Magazine, the former E.R. star explained: “I don’t know how to do it [use social media]. “I’m not on any of them, but only because I find that my life is so much simpler without doing it.
