Charity Cricket: win for Movenpick, Le Meridien

Movenpick defeated International Hotels Est (IHE)-Bushido by five wickets in the latest round of matches of the Fourth Inter-Hotel Charity Cricket Tournament, 2015 at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa recreation area.

Batting first, IHE-Bushido were dismissed for a paltry 27 all out in 5.1 overs with Faruk (5 off 10 deliveries) the highest scorer and Taraga (two for nine) and man of the match Priyanta (one for three) the best of the bowlers.

Movenpick in reply, raced to the target scoring 28 for one off 1.3 overs thanks to fine efforts by Nalaka (12 off, 1x6, 1x4) and Priyanta (10 off 4, 2x4) with Babar (one for 17) claiming the sole wicket that fell.

In another match, Le Meridien beat Diplomat Radisson Blu by five wickets after the latter managed 41 for five from six overs with most of the runs coming from (Indrajeet (19 off 13, 3x4, Yasir 15 off 17, 1x6) with Ateeq (two for two) the best of the bowlers.

Le Meridien scraped to victory with a delivery to spare as they scored 42 for one in 5.5 overs thanks to fine knocks by man of the match Ali  (16 not out off 14, 1x5) and (Lovel 15 off 13, 1x6) with Indrajeet (one for four) taking the only wicket.

Group matches are played on a daily basis with four matches from 6pm to 9pm until the semi-finals and finals on May 25. All proceeds fromthe tournament are being donated to the 2015 official charity partner, the Hope Institute.
