Extending the Frontiers of Science
The Annual Juniors Science Fair is well underway at the British School of Bahrain (BSB) this week. Not only are all 31 classes in the juniors involved but this year 8 classes in Year 1 are involved too.
Working in groups of 3 or 4, students were issued with the challenge of devising an investigation, devising a hypothesis, planning an experiment, recording and analysing results and drawing conclusions. Certainly a tall order, but one which the students are addressing with skill and enthusiasm.
Students have been presenting their results to parents and other classes using display boards and also giving a short explanation outlining their investigation. ‘The results have been highly impressive and we’re sure that Einstein would have been proud of them!,’ a BSB official commented.
