Trowers & Hamlins to lead BIPEX 2015

The Bahrain International Property Exhibition, or BIPEX 2015, officially announced Trowers & Hamlins as the leader of the BIPEX forum. The forum is scheduled to take place on November 5 at 3pm in the main conference room at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

This session will give developers, investors, buyers and the general public an opportunity to learn about the current market along with its projected outlook from experts.

The BIPEX forum will assess the industry’s experiences so far with the Real Estate Development Law and the Leasing law.

Experts will provide opinions on the new laws and their potential impact on the industry.

The forum will also delve into the Stalled Projects Law and the impact it has had on the market.

Experts will additionally be discussing the introduction of a real estate regulator and the role it would have in the context of this newly established set of laws. In discussing these topics, there will be a panel of specialists with extensive experience locally and regionally in the areas of real estate development and leasing.

“This year’s BIPEX comes at a time when the real estate market in Bahrain is enjoying a recovery with increased levels of activity across all sectors,” said International Managing Partner at Trowers & Hamlins Abdul-Haq Mohammed.

“This coincides with a major push by the government to establish a more advanced set of laws and regulations to govern this key industry and help encourage its growth. This forum will provide delegates an opportunity to explore the implications of these new laws with a panel of experts,” he added.

Trowers & Hamlins is a long-established international law firm, which has over 130 partners and 800 staff members. The law firm is considered to be a regional specialist and has some of the largest and most experienced teams of lawyers in the Middle East.

BIPEX 2015 is scheduled to take place from November 5 – 7 under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
