Filipino Women’s Day Wellness Campaign successful

The Philippine Embassy, in cooperation with Bahrain Specialist Hospital, has jointly organised the “Filipino Women’s Day Wellness Campaign’’, a multi-specialty medical camp.
The event was held as part of the International Women’s Day celebration on 8 March. About 100 Filipino nationals received free medical check-up (free screening tests for blood pressure and blood sugar) and took advantage of medical services on Primary Heart Screening (ECG), Gynecological Screening (Abdominal Ultrasound), Vision Screening (Eye Pressure and Glaucoma Check- up) and Hypertension Screening.
During the program, Her Excellency, Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain Anne Jalando-on Louis, extended her gratitude to Bahrain Specialist Hospital for the worthy cause and for its commitment to the Filipino community.
The activity’s objective celebrated on women’s day was to reach out to people who were in need of basic medical care. It also served as an avenue to raise awareness on the importance of healthy habits and overall well-being.
