Govt-legislative ties stressed in public funds preservation
Parliament and Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi reiterated government’s keenness on boosting cooperation with the legislature in consolidating transparency and preservation of public funds considering the Financial and Administrative Audit Bureau’s remarks and recommendations.
During his visit to the Council of Representatives Financial and Economic Affairs Committee member, MP Mohammed Al Ahmed, at his Majlis in the presence of several MPs and officials from the Ministry, the Minister cited the taking of legal and administrative measures to deal with the remarks to ensure optimum use of national resources.
Al Hammadi praised the efforts of the Council of Representatives in legislation and monitoring over the executive authority’s work. He stressed the government’s keenness on compliance with the directives of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa regarding cooperation with Parliament on the improvement of the financial situation.
MP Al Ahmed lauded the role of national media in the coverage of the activities and sessions of the Council of Representatives and its contributions to bolstering democratic practices.
