Bahraini contactor and engineering consultancy owner jailed for forging documents

A contractor and an owner of an engineering consultancy, both Bahraini, paid for their attempt to forge official documents after receiving five years in prison each.
According to court files, the two are said to have been assigned by a woman to rectify some violations in a building she bought from a relative in order to get it connected with electricity and water.
The suspects falsified official documents and submitted them to the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) which provided the electricity and water services to the building.
The pair would have escaped with the crime had the envious relative kept quiet as he went to the Capital Municipality and got involved in an altercation with the employees, complaining of nepotism as he futilely tried to solve the issue for one year.
