‘Bahrainuna’ values, principles derived from Royal vision, says BIPA chief

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the implementation of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainuna), and its positive latest outcomes of (Bahrainuna), Director-General of the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA), Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams, affirmed that BIPA has derived its strategy from the comprehensive vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Dr. Bin Shams stressed that the principles enshrined in the Constitution, the National Action Charter and the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 constitute the main pillars of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism.

Bahrainuna has also derived its components from the astute vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, he said, adding that the government work is based on the national values.

BIPA Director-General indicated that the Institute’s programmes are designed in line with national foundations, stressing that BIPA strongly believes that the national values are the main engine for the advancement of work performance and government services provided to the citizens.

Dr. Bin Shams said that the values shape the human behavior, adding that the His Majesty the King has always called for fostering the national values so as to better serve the Bahraini society and fulfill the aspirations of the citizens, as reflected in the keynote royal speeches on various occasions.

He pointed out that all BIPA seeks through all its initiatives and programmes to include national values to ensure that they reflect positively on the outcomes of the government work, citing the National Programme for the Development of Government Leadership, which is considered one of the most important programmes that incorporate the national values as a basic component within BIPA’s educational and training curricula.

As a result, all the graduates of the National Programme for the Development of Government Leadership are fully aware not only of the national values but also of the means to incorporate them in the institutional work plans as well as in the work of administrative teams, he added.

Dr. Bin Shams explained that the National Plan (Bahrainuna) is based on national partnership and local networking efforts between the public sector, the private sector and the civil society institutions towards bolstering the authentic Bahraini values and unifying them to enhance the national aspirations and raise the standard of the outcomes of the services delivered to the citizens.

He added that nowadays, everyone is working together, within Team Bahrain, to ensure a better future for the nation, making Bahrain an exemplary model to be emulated regionally and globally.
