Speaker hails Bahrain government efforts to sustain ‘quality education and training

The quality of education and training is a fundamental pillar to enhance Bahrain’s progress and ensure a prosperous future.

Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal described the Kingdom’s experience in ensuring the continuity of education and training since the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as a pioneering success story that proves the soundness of the strategies it has adopted.

She lauded the unwavering support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in education.

The Speaker cited the tremendous efforts the government under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is exerting to constantly develop the quality of education and training, in line with the royal visions and goals of the Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030.

She affirmed that the quality of education and training is among the priorities of the national parliamentary work, being the best means to invest in human development, highlighting its importance in providing quality job opportunities for Bahraini youth.

The Speaker lauded the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister, and President of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, of the fourth conference of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), themed “The Future of Quality Education and Training: Between International Trends and Local Implementation”.

She asserted that the legislative branch constantly seeks to cooperate and coordinate with the government to develop education and training, which, she said, are essential for the progress of societies and nations.

She stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge on the latest developments in the fields of education and training, as well as on ways to benefit from various ideas and initiatives launched during the global spread of the pandemic in order to improve education and its output in Bahrain.

The Speaker commended the efforts being exerted by BQA officials and the organisers of its fourth conference, noting that the Council of Representatives and its various committees will take the outcomes and recommendations of the conference into account in order to further improve the quality of education and training in the kingdom.
