Bahrain strengthens US relations and partnership

Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has praised the historic relations and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US. This came as he received at the Ministry’s General Court yesterday the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Gulf Affairs in the Near East Bureau at the US Department of State, Timothy Lenderking, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and US Embassy charge d’affaires Margaret Nardi.
Minister Al Zayani stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and joint bilateral coordination for the benefit of both countries and people and the strategic role of the US in preserving regional security and stability.
For his part, Lenderking expressed pride in the friendly relations between the two countries, praising the Kingdom’s efforts in promoting the culture of peace, prosperity and stability in the Middle East. He also wished the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
