The President of the Supreme Council of Health pays an inspection visit to Salmaniya Medical Complex

His Excellency Lieutenant General, Doctor Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and Head of the National Team for Responding to Coronavirus (Covid-19), made an inspection visit today, Wednesday, to Salmaniya Medical Complex, as part of His Excellency’s keenness to follow-up on the field of the level of health services provided to citizens and residents.
At the outset of the visit, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa valued the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the beloved monarch of the country, may God protect him, and thanked His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the distinguished Prime Minister, may God preserve him. And to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, may God protect him, for their Highness' constant follow-up of all efforts made by the one Bahrain team to enhance the health and safety of all.
During the visit, His Excellency the President of the Supreme Council of Health praised the great and exceptional efforts made by all employees of the health sector, expressing pride in the honorable positions of the medical staff who placed themselves at the forefront of the ranks in the service of their country and people in all circumstances, especially during the Coronavirus crisis, which clearly showed the extent of dedication. And sincerity and hard work and continuous in order to provide the best services for all in accordance with the best international standards, which has received high recognition from the World Health Organization.
In this context, His Excellency stressed the importance of maintaining the advanced level achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of health and medical care, noting that the government spares no effort to support and promote the health sector, and everyone has reaped the fruits of this support through the advanced level of health care, especially during the pandemic period. Corona.
His Excellency the President of the Supreme Council of Health urged to follow the development and modernization in treating patients and to provide the latest equipment and means of treatment, stressing the continuation of efforts for further development and modernization of health services in the Kingdom, in accordance with the latest international regulations in this field.
His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said: “The esteemed government is keen to overcome all difficulties in order to upgrade and develop the health sector in the Kingdom, and provide it with scientifically and training qualified medical and nursing cadres, and supply hospitals and health centers with all medical supplies, medicines and modern technologies in the fields of medicine and treatment, and expand in Establishing health facilities in order to provide the best means of prevention and treatment for citizens and residents.
During the visit, His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Governmental Hospitals Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Health, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Nakhitha, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Acting CEO of Governmental Hospitals, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Shaban from the Supreme Council of Health An inspection visit to the complex's facilities and review of the latest developments in the treatment of patients in general and Corona patients in particular.
After that, His Excellency the President of the Supreme Council of Health reviewed the expansion project of the emergency department at Salmaniya Medical Complex. The expansion project comes within the framework of the self-management action plan to preserve the health and safety of those who visit this vital section.
His Excellency inspected the sections of the building and was briefed on the latest devices, equipment and capabilities that contribute to achieving the government's strategy in developing health and medical care services in its various stages. His Excellency was also briefed about the complex's new airstrip project.
On a related level, His Excellency the President of the Supreme Council of Health paid an inspection visit to the Department of Supplies, Materials and Drug Stores, where the level of provision of medicines and various medical materials in the stores was checked, stressing the development of control measures to ensure that medicines were easily and safely accessed according to the correct and legal use in line with strengthening governance procedures As well as ensuring the safety of the drug stock in the warehouse and providing all the required facilities for hospitals and health centers.
In addition, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa discussed the latest developments in the implementation of the self-management program in the Salmaniya Medical Complex and the procedures upon which the Board of Trustees, the administrative team and the project team are based. His Excellency also stressed the importance of working on developing health services under the esteemed government's directives in making a qualitative leap in the level of health services through the implementation of hospital self-management, which comes within the framework of the comprehensive development of health services within the health insurance program.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Governmental Hospitals, Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the President of the Supreme Council of Health for his kind visit to the Salmaniya Medical Complex, appreciating the esteemed government's support for upgrading health services in its various preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative aspects.
