Directors Appointed
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Edict (45) of 2026 transferring and appointing directors at the Ministry of Oil and Environment.
Adnan Saeed Mohammed Al Mukhareq was transferred from Director of the Inspection and Licensing Directorate to Director of the Strategic Policies and Planning Directorate. Waleed Salman Abdulmahdi Al Moathen was appointed to head the Inspection and Licensing Directorate, while Shaikh Duaij bin Subah bin Salman Al Khalifa was appointed Director of the International Relations and Cooperation Directorate.
Qeyadat Leaders Meet
The Bahrain Institute of Public Administration organised a dialogue session attended by Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, and Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the institute.
Participants from the 38th and 39th cohorts of the Qeyadat Executive Leadership Preparation Programme discussed national leadership development. Al Alawi stressed the importance of developing national leaders to strengthen social services, while Dr. Shaikha Rana highlighted the institute’s focus on strategic thinking and transformational leadership skills.
Health Service Upgraded
The National Health Regulatory Authority has enhanced its Health Product Registration Renewal service through an updated electronic system allowing applications and procedures to be completed online.
The upgraded service cuts processing time from 15 to 10 working days, reduces required documents from 12 to four and shortens the application process from four steps to three.
Islamic Council Meets
The Supreme Islamic Affairs Council held its fourth regular session of the sixth term under the chairmanship of Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
The council praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s support for education and highlighted the UNESCO King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education. It also condemned an Iranian-backed Houthi attempt to target Makkah and called for a firm international stance to protect the sanctity of Islamic holy sites.
Salman City Projects
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning announced three new housing projects in Salman City under the Government Land Development Rights Programme, offering 137 units for booking through the off-plan sales programme.
The units include 24 homes by the Naseej Real Estate Development and Almoayyed Contracting alliance, 69 by Delmon Gate Real Estate and 44 by Bahrain First Real Estate Development. The projects form part of efforts to expand housing supply and increase private-sector participation in social housing.
