New officials appointed as His Majesty issues four decrees

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued four decrees, restructuring the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. The Minister of Works Affairs, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning shall implement the decrees, which takes effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

One of the decrees transfer current Undersecretary of Agriculture and Marine Resources Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Khalifa to serve as Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs. Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs Dr Nabeel Mohammed Abul Fateh will take over as Undersecretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources. Dr Khalid Ahmed Mohammed Hassan has also been appointed as Undersecretary for Animal Resources at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

HM the King also issued decree 52 of 2019 amending article one of 1977, which established the Rashid Equestrian and Horse-racing Club. Under the amended article, the Rashid Equestrian and Horse-racing Club shall function under the authority of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. Under decree 53 of 2019, Youssef Ahmed Abdulla Al Essa has been appointed as chief executive officer of the Equestrian Care Authority
