Asian man collapses, dies on pavement

An Indian national collapsed and died on a pavement in a busy street in Manama Traditional Market on Tuesday evening.
He died due to health complications.
The incident caused panic among passers-by and workers at the souq. Eyewitnesses identified the deceased as 53-year-old Ishaque Naduvile Kammadathil, who was a manager of a garment shop in the souq.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was walking to his shop after leaving his apartment at 3:00 pm when he collapsed.
The cause of death is unknown, however, sources said he died of heart attack.
Speaking to DT News an eyewitness said, “His apartment is close by to his shop. He was walking to the shop to resume work. On his way back, he was seen struggling to walk. He told one of the workers in a nearby shop that he was feeling pain in the chest. He was profusely sweating. He immediately called a taxi so that he could go to a nearby hospital. Suddenly his body gave up on him and he fell to the ground. He was only 30 meters away from the shop when he collapsed, it was a tragic scene.”
The eyewitness also said that the deceased was an important member of that area and offered condolences to the family of the deceased.
Kammadathil is married and has three children. His body will be repatriated to his hometown in India, where his family resides.
