Brothers in the dock for murdering drug peddler
Two brothers murdered a drug-peddler in his fifties, who was selling drugs to them, the High Criminal Court heard yesterday. The victim’s body is said to have been found in an abandoned house in Gudaibiya. The pair landed in police net after preliminary investigations.
According to court files, the defendants were accustomed to attacking and robbing drug-dealers after buying drugs from them, taking advantage that they wouldn’t be reported to the police over fears that the victims will be arrested too because of their drug-selling activities. Police officers found that the two brothers had contacted the victim in order to buy drugs from him. They are said to have lured him into the abandoned house, where they killed him and stole his belongings.
The duo said during questioning that they were attacking their victims to repossess the money they paid for the drugs.
