Bahrain Strengthens Gulf Labour Cooperation

Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs, His Excellency Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, chaired the 46th coordination meeting of the GCC Labour Ministers Council at the headquarters of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 114th session of the International Labour Conference, held from June 1 to 12 in Geneva, as part of Bahrain’s presidency of the 46th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
During the meeting, ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation among GCC member states and coordinate unified positions on topics included in the agenda of the current International Labour Conference session.
The discussions also focused on enhancing joint Gulf cooperation in labour-related matters and reinforcing collaboration within international labour platforms.
