More developmental projects in Diraz and Bani Jamrah

 Authorities have vowed to establish a number of developmental projects at Diraz and Bani Jamrah villages in the Northern Governorate during the upcoming phase, it was revealed yesterday.

 During a field visit to several sites in both villages, Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments’ Jaffaria Waqf Directorate (JWD) Chairman Sheikh Mohsen Al Asfoor confirmed that the directorate would initiate quite a few projects that will include traditional markets and investment opportunities in the area.

 Al Asfoor said, “The projects will serve the residents of the area and will be implemented in cooperation with Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry.”

 The Chairman highlighted the vital role of the directorate in developing the society by fulfilling citizens’ healthcare, educational and social needs.

 He said JWD is now concentrating on directing profits of properties owned by the directorate to benefit the people of Bahrain in the best ways possible.

 “JWD is concerned about preserving the national and cultural heritage of different areas in Bahrain,” he stated.

 Accompanying Al Asfoor during his visit was the area’s representative Jalal Kadhem Al Mahfoudh, who underscored the importance of such projects in serving the residents of the area.

 He also insured his endless cooperation as the MP of both villages to the directorate’s endeavors to improve the area.
