Bahraini citizens centre to development march: King

Manama : Bahraini citizens will always occupy centre stage in the efforts made to boost welfare within the Kingdom’s comprehensive development march, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. 

This came as HM the King received at Sakhir Palace yesterday His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

This will help “Bahrain remain high with its glorious history, prosperous present and brighter future,” HM the King stressed while reviewing with the Premier and Crown Prince the recent discovery of the biggest ever oil and gas field in the history of Bahrain.

HM, the King congratulated all on the historical national achievement which was brought about thanks to the Bahraini competencies, stressing that Bahrain is heading into a new phase of prosperity. 

HM, the King lauded the role of HRH the Prime Minister and his continuous follow-up on the implementation of the citizen-oriented government projects and praised the efforts of HRH the Crown Prince through his presidency of the Higher Committee of Natural Resources and Economic Security which yielded the accomplishment. 

King Hamad commended Bahrain’s great success in hosting and organising F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, stressing that the success of the race for the 14th year in a row and the massive turnout for it and its accompanying functions underline the Kingdom’s elevated standing in the sport, economic and tourism fields. 

“Bahrain has become a pioneering global destination attracting various sports and the F1 fans,” said His Majesty lauding the efforts of the officials of Bahrain International Circuit and all public institutions which contributed to the success of the major sporting event.

HM the King, HRH the Premier and HRH the Crown Prince spotlighted the 29th Arab Summit which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next week. HM, the King expressed appreciation of the invitation presented to him by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to participate in the summit, wishing it every success in attaining forecast goals.

HM, the King commended Saudi Arabia’s tremendous efforts, spearheaded by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in defending the supreme interests of the Arab and Islamic nations and their just issues. He also praised the kingdom’s keenness on the unity of the Arab and Islamic countries.
