Princess Sabeeka honours Voluntary Award winners
Manama : Winners of the second edition of Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Youth Voluntary Work were honoured yesterday by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).
In her speech on the occasion, Princess Sabeeka stressed the keenness of SCW in encouraging youth’s voluntary initiatives and projects aimed at boosting the stability of Bahraini society.
Her Highness paid homage to late Shaikha Hessa for her dedicated efforts to support charity, voluntary and social work.
HRH Princess Sabeeka also commended the efforts of the award’s committee Head and SCW member Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.
Marking the occasion, Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa said the award committee, in this edition, was keen to diversify its works, pointing out the increase in the number of participating projects.
