Omar quits as Gulf Hotel General Manager

Manama : Award-winning General Manager of the Gulf Hotel Convention & Spa, Rahim Abu Omar, has announced that he will be leaving his position at Bahrain’s iconic and first 5-star Hotel, which is part of the Gulf Hotels Group.

Abu Omar, who has over 29+ years of international hotel and hospitality management experience, will be leaving Bahrain to take up a position as General Manager at a 5-star property in Budapest, Hungary.

Rahim was a recipient of the Hotelier of The Year Awardee of 2009 in Jordan and has also been recognised as one of the top 50 influential hoteliers in the Middle East 2009 by Hotelier ME magazine. He played an instrumental role in opening 5 hotels, including the Metropolitan, Habtoor Grand in Dubai and Beirut.
