Local police band to take part in US I-Day fete
Manama : A Bahraini police music band will participate in the US Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday, as part of the historical and strategic ties between the two countries.
Upon his arrival in Washington, the band leader, Major-General Mubarak Najem said that the participation in the international event was part of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister, Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
Major General Najam said the band will present a variety of musical shows blending military music with the Bahraini folklore.
He hailed the ongoing support of Interior Minister to the band to strength its participation in international events and festivals. He said that the participation was part of exchange of expertise and skills.
