Three of a Bahrain family killed in car crash in Spain

ManamaThree members of a Bahrain family were killed and three others seriously injured in a car accident that took place in Spain on Wednesday. Two women aged 20 and 30 and a man aged 26 are the deceased. 

The Spanish police have arrested the driver of the vehicle in which the Bahraini family was travelling, according to a local Spanish newspaper. The driver who caused the accident was under the influence of alcohol and drug, the newspaper said. The newspaper further said that the driver had a criminal history and was involved in three reckless homicides, besides incidents that caused injuries. Following the accident, His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued directives to provide support for the Bahraini family involved in the fatal crash. 

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to follow up the tragic incident and ensure that the family is provided with the best medical services.  Bahrain Defence Force has dispatched a plane and a medical team to Spain to transport the injured survivors and bring back the bodies of the deceased, tweeted Bahrain Embassy to UK.
