Shaikh Nasser honours families of martyrs
Manama : HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, organised a special ceremony for the families of martyrs of duty on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
HH Shaikh Nasser’s children as well as the children of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association participated in the event that included various activities and programmes for the children.
His Highness extended the congratulations of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the families of the martyrs on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Addressing the children of the martyrs, HH Shaikh Nasser said, “Every day, we remember with pride and honour the martyrs of our courageous brave men who sacrificed their lives in the field of heroism for their nation and to carry out their noble duty to defeat terrorism and greed that threaten the sovereignty of our homeland. They embody the highest values of patriotism and are a pride for all the people of Bahrain.
His Highness added that the families of martyrs made a beautiful example of patriotism by sacrificing their children to eliminate terrorists before carrying out attacks and spreading strife in the region.
HH Shaikh Nasser continued, “We are all the families of the martyrs of Bahrain who were martyred inside or during the Operation Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope in the brotherly Republic of Yemen, as part of the Arab coalition forces under the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” affirming that taking care of the children of the martyrs and fulfilling their needs is a duty for us all.
