Prince Salman’s UAE visit opens new chapter in relations

ManamaHis Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister yesterday began his official visit of the United Arab Emirates, which included a bilateral meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 

The visit focuses on bolstering cooperation between the two countries, said reports.

Upon arrival, the Crown Prince, who was accompanied by the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President & Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and a number of senior ministers and officials, was received by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In a statement, the Crown Prince said that he was delighted to conduct the visit as it reflected longstanding ties between Bahrain and the UAE.

Prince Salman highlighted that HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa continues to play a pivotal role in fostering and strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation with the UAE and GCC partners. 

Prince Salman also highlighted UAE’s achievements in advancing development that continue to receive international recognition.
