Bahrain TV was 'not hacked'
Manama : Bahrain's national television was not hacked and is broadcasting normally, it has been announced. The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) rejected as untrue a message circulating in social media that the Bahrain TV was hacked.
“The national television channel is broadcasting normally and wasn’t hacked as what’s being circulated on social media networks,” BNA tweeted today, denying that Bahrain TV was hacked.
“Bahrain TV is normally broadcasting the celebrations of the 16th National Action Charter Anniversary. The circulated footage is fabricated,” BNA added.
The clarification came as a video clip showing footage of vandalism acts and attacks against security forces has been widely circulating on social networks since today morning.
Showing Bahrain TV logo, the video is claimed to be “a successful hack of the State television”, as posted by some accounts.
