Suspicious object found at Isa Town
Manama:
Police cordoned a busy commercial area at Isa Town after a suspicious object was found on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
The object was found at about 10am, one of the salesmen, present at the spot, told DT News.
He said that the business was running as usual at the area until the object was noticed in front of Lebanon Trade Centre, located close to the Isa Town souq.
The object was found tied to a shopping cart and it was placed next to a public telephone booth attached to the building of Lebanon Trade Centre, he said.
After receiving information, police officials immediately rushed to spot, he said, adding that they cordoned the area, before starting the evacuation operations.
The business activities returned to normalcy immediately after the object was evacuated from the spot, he said.
Interior Ministry has not yet commented on the incident.
