Bahrain-Indonesia parliamentary cooperation highlighted

Parliament Chairman Ahmed Al Mulla yesterday stressed the importance of supporting joint Asian projects in vital fields, investing in energy resources to boost cooperation, increasing the volume of trade exchange and benefitting from mutual expertise in various domains.
He said the upcoming period would see more parliamentary cooperation between the Council of Representatives and its counterpart in the Republic of Indonesia.
Al Mullah has expressed sincere condolences and sympathy on the victims of the military aircraft crash, reiterating the Kingdom of Bahrain's solidarity with Indonesia, wishing it further growth, development, stability and security.
The Speaker yesterday received the Ambassador of Indonesia Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Chilman Arisman.
The two sides explored the outcome of the Asian-African Parliamentary Declaration ‘towards stronger partnership to achieve international peace and prosperity’, in which a Bahraini parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker participated in Indonesia last April.
The Speaker affirmed the Council's support to all efforts and works of the Indonesian Ambassador to serve and boost the bilateral ties and interests.
