BAHRAIN STUDENTS INNOVATION CONGRESS

Science India Forum Bahrain in association with the Department of Science and Technology, India conducting the Bahrain students
Innovation Congress on 25th of Nov2016 at Bahrain University College auditorium in Saar. The students from eight schools of Bahrain are participating the congress and contesting in the event with their innovative projects.
The first and second place winners from the contest will get the opportunity to participate the prestigious Indian National Children Science Congress (NCSC), to be held in Baramati, Maharashtra this year. This national event is scheduled from 27th Dec to 31st Dec 2016, and it is organized and conducted by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) India.
The Bahrain Students Innovation Congress will be inaugurated by Mr. Anand Prakash, the Second Secretary, Embassy of India, Bahrain, at 7.30 am today. Dr.Vinodkumar, Senior Professor of Dubai Marine Technology College, will be the chief invigilator and Prof. Lekshmi Narayana, from Bahrain Polytechnic, Prof. Vizaykumar from Bahrain University, SIF advisory Board Chairman Dr. Ravi Warrier, American Mission Hospital Senior medical Officer Dr.Babu Ramachandran will also be present for the congress. The result announcement will be held at 2 .00pm on the same day at Bahrain University Saar Campus.

BSB INTERNATIONAL FAMILY FAIR
Time : 10am-3pm
Venue: British School of Bahrain, Hamala Campus
The International Family Fair is a longstanding tradition at the BSB which draws together different strands of the school community. It is an opportunity for students to take part in musical, dance and gymnastic performances. Staff are involved in creating the magical Santa’s Grotto and Secret Present Room where teachers help children to select a surprise gift for their parents. They take time to wrap them carefully so that the gift is a ‘real’ surprise for the recipient. Parents also contribute hugely to the event, creating country stalls that showcase traditions, crafts and food from all corners of the globe. The International Family Fair promises fun for the whole family. There will be bouncy castles, swings, a rodeo bull, zorbs, and paddleboats for our youngest visitors. A wide selection of food and beverages will also be available throughout the day.
The fair is also the ideal opportunity to start festive shopping. A good selection of handmade jewellery, bags, toys and gift items will be available for purchase. You may also enjoy visiting an Art Exhibition by local artist Nasim Javid. The Grand Raffle promises some exciting prizes suitable for the whole family.
So please come and join us on Friday 25th November, any time between 10 am and 3 pm, so that we can celebrate the family spirit of the British School of Bahrain.
