Bahrain for greater ties with Morocco

ManamaThe relations between Bahrain and Morocco have been shaped through increased cooperation and integration across various fields, said Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

HRH Prince Salman was speaking while receiving Moroccan Minister of Handicrafts, Social Economy and Solidarity Fatema Marouane at Riffa Palace yesterday.

The Crown Prince further highlighted that Bahrain’s commitment to increased bilateral cooperation is demonstrated by the ratification of several agreements, which have directly contributed to strengthening ties. 

Prince Salman also welcomed the commitment and support provided by His Majesty King Hamad Al Khalifa and King Mohammed VI of Morocco to consolidate bilateral cooperation across various sectors and strengthen strategic partnerships.

The Crown Prince went on to pay tribute to the Moroccan Bahraini Handicraft Week, which will include a series of events to showcase the handicraft industries of both nations. The event, which consolidates cultural and tourism ties, is in line with the support provided by the leaders of both countries. 

Prince Salman added that the establishment of joint exhibitions supports new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, and that the exchange of expertise that takes place during the events benefits the development of both countries.

The Crown Prince and the Minister also reviewed various areas of Bahraini-Moroccan cooperation, particularly within the tourism and manufacturing sectors, saying that the sectors play a key role in economic development and diversification efforts.

The Moroccan Minister expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to meet Prince Salman, and further expressed appreciation for the Crown Prince’s support to the continued development of Bahraini-Moroccan ties across various fields.

Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani also attended the meeting.
