Bahrain's U19 Asian football campaign begins
Manama: The mascot of the Under-19 Asian Football Confederation Football Championship ‘Qanas’ to be hosted by Bahrain from October 13 to 30 has started his visits as part of a massive campaign to promote the event.
This falcon-dressed character was joined by Bahrain Football Association (BFA) board member and championship‘s marketing committee chairman Aref Al Mannai and communication and marketing director Mohammed Al Quti, as they made a visit to the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
They were welcomed by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, BOC board member and woman’s sport committee chairwoman Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa and other high-ranking committee officials.
Askar also welcomed the BFA representatives and commended the organising committee efforts on promoting the event and wished them success.
