Seven Bahraini appellants jailed for riots
Manama : Seven Bahraini appellants have lost their appeals filed against their jail terms of three years each in a riot case.
The suspects are said to have been among unknown men who rioted in one of Bahrain’s villages. They reportedly set furniture on fire in an effort to obstruct the traffic.
Eleven defendants were put on trial in connection with this case. All of whom received three years jail sentences. They had been charged with participating in an illegal gathering, rioting, disturbing public order and arson.
