Little India Market into its last week

Manama : The month-long ‘Little India Market’ is heading into its final week and is set to conclude next Saturday.

Indian food, shopping, crafts, music and other stage performances are part of the market, which is being held at Manama Souq. Yesterday, fire dancer performers, fire-eaters and hypnotics dance crew gave special
performances.

Speaking to DT News, Little India in Bahrain Project Director Frances Stafford said the market will not return until next year. “We will have it again next year, probably starting in November or December,” she said, adding, “It was very well received and the public enjoyed it. We saw a lot of Bahrainis coming in as well.”

She further stated, “There were many different types of performances. We had local magicians, drummers and lots of variety food,” she
said.

Little India Market is part of the ‘Little India in Bahrain’ project initiated by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities(BACA).

The Market closes on April 30. It is open for all age groups from 4pm to 9pm.
