RCSI Bahrain celebrates White Coat Ceremony
“Don’t just hear what your patients say to you, but listen to what they say,” RCSI Bahrain’s Head of School of Medicine Professor Joe McMenamin advised the students during the annual White Coat Ceremony on the Busaiteen campus.
In the address, he highlighted the significance of wearing the white coat and the responsibility associated with it as 150 students at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) celebrated their transition to clinical training.
Bahrain Medical Society General Secretary Dr Manaf Al Qahtani and RCSI Bahrain Senior Cycle student Maryam Fareed Ashoor were the guest speakers.
The ceremony concluded with the students’ professional declaration, through which they vowed to maintain professional attitudes in work and relationships with classmates, teachers and patients.
