Police, LMRA Move to Strengthen Inspections
Chief of Public Security Lt. Gen. Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan received Nibras Mohammed Taleb, Chief Executive Officer of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), in the presence of several directors and officials from the Ministry of Interior and LMRA.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chief of Public Security welcomed the LMRA CEO and praised the level of cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the authority, highlighting the ongoing coordination in implementing joint initiatives and procedures that strengthen compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The meeting reviewed the latest statistics and data related to the labour situation in Bahrain, as well as key field challenges and mechanisms for addressing them to enhance efforts to regulate the labour market and reduce violations.
The two sides also discussed ways to further develop joint cooperation, particularly by intensifying joint inspection campaigns, strengthening field coordination and information exchange to ensure the swift detection of violations and the taking of legal measures, while continuing efforts to regularise the status of violating workers in accordance with approved laws and procedures.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and integration among relevant authorities to enhance the efficiency of inspection campaigns and support national efforts to regulate the labour market.
