Hope Team Steps In as Cancer-Stricken Expat Returns Home from Bahrain

After a harrowing period of pain and uncertainty, Rajesh Korapu, a native of Hyderabad, India, has returned home, concluding his expatriate life in Bahrain. Working as a security guard at a private firm to support his family, Rajesh was unexpectedly diagnosed with bone cancer and underwent treatment at Salmaniya Medical Complex.

Back home, two young children, aged seven and two, were waiting for him. Due to financial hardships and distance, the father had not seen his youngest child in over two years. The family was already reeling from severe debt incurred during the long-term medical treatment of Rajesh’s father, who passed away recently, making Rajesh's illness a double blow to their modest household.

Recognizing his plight, the voluntary organization 'Hope Team' stepped in to provide comprehensive support. While his employer provided the air ticket for his journey back, Hope Team presented him with 1,060 Bahraini Dinars (over INR 2,00,000) for his ongoing treatment and family needs, along with gift packages for his children.

Hope Team members Sabu Chiramel, Faisal Pattandi, and Shaji Moothal escorted Rajesh to the airport to see him off. Upon reaching India, Rajesh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hope Team and all the well-wishers in Bahrain who supported him during his time of need.
