Smart Solutions Discussed to Improve Housing and Urban Services

Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi received Dr. Shaikha Fay bint Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Bahrain Smart Cities Association, along with several board members.

During the meeting, Minister Al Rumaihi stressed the ministry’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination with the Bahrain Smart Cities Association and other specialised organisations.

She highlighted the importance of benefiting from national expertise in innovation, digital transformation and smart city applications to further develop housing and urban services and initiatives and support the sustainability of residential communities.

The meeting also explored opportunities to use data, modern technologies and smart solutions in developing housing and urban projects and services. Discussions focused on improving operational efficiency and keeping pace with developments in smart cities and urban planning.

Dr. Shaikha Fay Al Khalifa praised the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry’s efforts to provide housing services and solutions for citizens, noting the development of the housing system through diversified options and the adoption of modern technologies.

She also affirmed the association’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the ministry and exchanging expertise in innovation, smart cities and urban planning.
