Hundreds of devotees gather at Gurdwara Sahib Salmabad to mark First Parkash Purab

Hundreds of devotees gathered at Sikh Community Center, Gurudwara Salmabad yesterday to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the First Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
The three-day spiritual programme commenced on Wednesday evening, September 16, with the recitation of the Akhand Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, drawing members of the Sikh community from across Bahrain.
The prayers concluded on Friday evening, September 18, and were followed by a devotional Kirtan Darbar, where devotees joined in prayers and sacred hymns. The programme concluded with Guru Ka Langar, with devotees coming together to partake in the community meal.
The occasion also coincided with the commemoration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's wedding anniversary, adding further significance to the spiritual gathering.
Devotees participated in the congregation with great devotion, offering prayers and seeking divine blessings. The celebrations reflected the Sikh community's strong commitment to faith, spirituality, fellowship and the values of service and sharing.
