Bahrain, EU Discuss Stronger Economic Cooperation

Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif received a delegation representing European Union (EU) Member States during their joint official visit to Bahrain.

The delegation included the Ambassador of Germany to Bahrain, along with the ambassadors of Croatia, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands and Poland, who are accredited to Bahrain and reside in Kuwait. Officials from the embassies of Italy and France also attended the meeting.

Representatives from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Bahrain EDB were also present.

Al Khulaif highlighted the growing relations and close partnership between Bahrain, the EU and its Member States across various fields. She stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation, particularly in economic and sustainable development, while exploring opportunities that support sustainable development, economic growth and prosperity.

The meeting also addressed topics of mutual interest, including opportunities to enhance cooperation, exchange expertise and expand partnerships between Bahrain and EU Member States.

The ambassadors praised Bahrain's progress and development across various sectors and affirmed their countries' commitment to further strengthening cooperation and partnerships with the Kingdom in support of shared aspirations and mutual interests.
