Coast Guard Launches Marine Safety Campaign
The Bahrain Coast Guard, in cooperation and coordination with the Capital Governorate Police Directorate, conducted a coastal and marine awareness campaign in the Bahrain Bay area to promote marine safety among community members.
Visitors to the area were also advised on the importance of wearing life jackets while swimming, using designated swimming areas and avoiding diving without an approved licence.
The campaign also highlighted safety requirements that must be followed when using jet skis and rowing boats.
As part of the initiative, the Coast Guard checked safety requirements and the validity of licences held by operators providing rowing boat rental services, supporting efforts to maintain a safe marine environment for everyone.
The Coast Guard urged beach and sea users to comply with safety guidelines and regulations governing marine activities.
For emergencies, members of the public can contact the Coast Guard hotline on 994.
