Connects Youth Across Borders

Bahrain is stepping up efforts to expand international cooperation in youth affairs, with Minister of Youth Affairs Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi holding talks with officials from the UAE, Libya and Hungary during her participation in Brain Bar 2026 in Budapest.

The meetings focused on strengthening partnerships between youth institutions, exchanging successful experiences and creating greater opportunities for young people to participate in different fields.

The minister met with Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. Discussions covered youth cooperation and the exchange of expertise between Bahrain and the UAE. They also explored ways to strengthen the Hope Network’s role in connecting institutions and young people across the Arab world.

In a separate meeting, Tawfiqi and Haitham Youssef Al Zahaf, Minister of Youth of the State of Libya, discussed developing youth cooperation, improving communication between youth institutions and expanding the exchange of expertise through the Hope Network.

Bahrain’s cooperation with Hungary was also addressed during Tawfiqi’s meeting with Tibor Bors Borbély-Pecze, Deputy State Secretary for Vocational Training, Adult Learning and Youth Policy Strategies and Regulation of Hungary.

The two sides discussed continuing cooperation in youth-related fields and sharing expertise and successful practices in developing programmes and initiatives for young people.

The Hungarian official praised Bahrain’s achievements in empowering young people and developing their skills, highlighting the Kingdom’s programmes and opportunities that encourage youth participation across various fields.
