Korea Liberation Day Greetings
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to President Lee Jae-myung of the Republic of Korea on the occasion of his country’s Liberation Day.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent a congratulatory cable to President Lee Jae-myung on the occasion.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister sent a similar cable to Prime Minister Han Seung-sook, conveying his best wishes on the national occasion.
Condolences to Egypt
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s solidarity with Egypt following a traffic collision in Ismailia Governorate that left dozens of people dead and injured.
The Ministry conveyed sincere condolences to the Egyptian government, its people, and the families of those who died in the accident.
It also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the collision.
Youth City participants visit Parliament
Participants in the Ana Qiyadi 3 programme for persons with disabilities visited the General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives as part of Youth City 2030, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
The visit introduced participants to the Council’s constitutional, legislative and oversight roles and provided an overview of parliamentary work and its role in addressing national issues.
During a discussion session, participants met Hussein Khalil Al Haddad, Director of the Council’s Committees and Sessions Affairs Department, and presented observations and proposals aimed at improving services.
Parliament condemns attack
Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam condemned the Iranian attack targeting two ADNOC tankers while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
In a cable to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, Al Musallam described the attack as a serious threat to regional security, maritime navigation and global energy security, and called on the UN Security Council to take firm and deterrent measures against hostile acts.
He affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with the UAE and support for measures taken to protect its security and vital interests.
