Bahraini Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr Ayman Tariq Saeed has been elected as the official representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), following an election by ISAPS members in the Kingdom.
ISAPS is one of the world's most prestigious international societies for aesthetic plastic surgeons, with more than 6,500 members across 117 countries.
Dr Ayman is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in the Kingdom of Bahrain, a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Dublin, and a recipient of the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Programme (CPISP). He completed higher specialist surgical training in the United Kingdom and holds double UK and European board certification in Plastic Surgery through FRCS (Plast) and FEBOPRAS.
In 2023, he was awarded the Gold Medal in Plastic Surgery for the highest performance in the United Kingdom and Ireland in FRCS (Plast), the specialist board certification in the field, becoming the first plastic surgeon in the Middle East to receive the honour.
Dr Ayman said: “It is a privilege to represent the Kingdom within the international aesthetic plastic surgery community. I extend my sincere gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their continued support of education and the development of the medical sector in Bahrain.
“Patient safety is at the heart of this role. ISAPS raises standards through education, training and shared international guidance, and I hope to help bring more of that work to Bahrain, working alongside the Kingdom's plastic surgeons, the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), the Ministry of Health and the Bahrain Medical Society.”
