Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), said the continued partnership between Tamkeen and the Ministry of Youth Affairs in organising Youth City 2030 reflects Bahrain's commitment to empowering young people with the skills and experience needed to succeed in the labour market.

She described Youth City 2030 as one of the Kingdom's flagship youth initiatives, noting that it has helped thousands of young Bahrainis develop specialised skills over the past 15 years, supporting their educational and professional growth.

Mofeez said the expanded 15th edition features more than 150 new training programmes, along with increased participation and learning opportunities, reflecting the initiative's continued evolution.

She added that the expansion aligns with Tamkeen's strategy of investing in Bahraini talent by connecting skills development with labour market needs, supporting private sector growth and enhancing national competitiveness.

As Tamkeen enters its third decade, Mofeez said the organisation will continue expanding specialised programmes and opportunities for Bahraini youth, contributing to the Kingdom's long-term economic and social development.
