iGA Showcases Bahrain's Digital Transformation at Smart Cities Summit

Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, Deputy Chief Executive of eTransformation at the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), highlighted Bahrain's digital transformation journey during a panel discussion at the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2026.
Janahi outlined key initiatives that have improved government services and strengthened the Kingdom's digital ecosystem, including the national portal bahrain.bh, electronic integration across government entities and the implementation of the "Cloud First" policy.
He noted that Bahrain's national portal offers more than 800 integrated electronic services and highlighted the country's unified government applications for individuals, businesses and visitors. He also pointed to the role of Bahrain's digital infrastructure in ensuring uninterrupted public services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Janahi said Bahrain continues to expand its digital ecosystem by leveraging data and artificial intelligence to deliver smarter government services, drive innovation and support the development of smart cities and a competitive digital economy.
