Deputy Prime Minister Chairs Development and Infrastructure Committee Meeting

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the 309th meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure, where members reviewed key infrastructure initiatives and approved a draft law to regulate Bahrain's railway sector in support of the GCC railway network.
The committee also approved proposed amendments to the Real Estate Sector Regulation Law to strengthen the property development sector and reviewed progress on major projects, including Phase Three (A) of the Bahrain International Airport Access Roads Development Project, which has reached 47% completion.
Members highlighted the launch of new smart parking meters in the Diplomatic Area, welcomed the digitisation of housing utility connection services, and reviewed updates on the King Faisal Highway Development Project and artificial intelligence-powered systems for detecting construction violations and monitoring trees.
