Fully automated system speeds up housing services

Bahrain has further advanced its housing services by introducing a fully automated internal system for inspecting and handing over residential units and plots, reducing the processing time from 10 days to just one day.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning said the upgraded procedure eliminates paper-based steps and relies entirely on digital workflows. Beneficiaries now receive electronic notifications for inspection appointments or key collection, attend the site with the assigned engineer, and complete the handover electronically.
The reform aims to improve service efficiency, enhance customer experience and accelerate the delivery of housing services. It has also reduced required documents by 50 per cent and cut approval stages by 25 per cent.
Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amina bint Ahmed Al Romaihi said the initiative streamlines procedures, saving citizens time and effort while improving service quality and transparency.
