His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister visited the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) on Sunday, where he reviewed strategic plans and praised the military’s role in national security.
He was accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Court.
During the visit, Prince Salman reaffirmed Bahrain’s approach to strengthening national cohesion and responsibility, stating it remains central to preserving security and stability under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
He praised the Bahrain Defence Force personnel for their “vital role” in protecting the country, including against what he described as hostile Iranian aggression targeting civilian infrastructure and private property.
The Crown Prince stressed the importance of continually modernizing and developing the armed forces to enhance readiness and support regional security alongside allied nations.
He was also briefed on the BDF’s strategic programmes and future plans, and commended the leadership of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa for advancing the force since its establishment.
HRH Prince Salman expressed appreciation to all BDF personnel, saying their dedication and sacrifices reflect “values of patriotism and responsibility,” and wished them continued success in serving and protecting the Kingdom.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed thanked the Crown Prince for his support, reaffirming the BDF’s loyalty to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and its commitment to safeguarding Bahrain’s security and stability.
