Devji BKS GCC Kalotsavam 2026 Kicks Off

The Devji BKS GCC Kalotsavam 2026, a major cultural festival celebrating the artistic talents of the Malayali diaspora, began with a colorful opening ceremony at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) in Bahrain.
The event opened with a traditional ‘Pooja Dance’, setting a cultural and spiritual tone.
The festival was officially inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. Jaydeep Bharatji, Joint Managing Director of the Devji Group, who lit the ceremonial lamp and praised the initiative for preserving cultural heritage and promoting social harmony.
BKS President Mr. P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai presided over the ceremony, stressing the importance of cultural unity.
Earlier, General Secretary Mr. Varghese Karakkal delivered the welcome address, while Vice President Mr. Devadas Kunnath appreciated the efforts of organisers and volunteers. General Convener Ms. Renu Unnikrishnan concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks.
The festival will feature participants from across the GCC competing in various cultural categories over the coming days.
